A Fly Went By, but Mike McClintock is another good children’s book.
My daughter is not yet eight months old, so she’s still a little young for this book, but I read it to her anyway. Its a fun book because the writing is very rhythmical and can be sung. Of course there are many rhyming words as well, which makes it a little more entertaining for my little one.
Since this book is long (relative to say, Toes, Ears & Nose) and a little bit complicated (again, its all relative!), my daughter sometimes gets a little fussy and we have to take a break and play for a little while. That’s fine with me, and she seems to get back into it after some interactivity.
